WHY GOD LETS PEOPLE SUFFER VERSES

Rom 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good for those who love God, those who are called according to His purpose

1. GOD IS IN CONTROL: Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything and a time for every activity under heaven

2.  TO SHOW US WHO HE IS: Job 40:8 Will you condemn me that you may be justified?

3.  THE RESULT OF OTHERS’ SIN: Joshua 22:20 And (He) did not perish alone for his iniquity

4.  THE RESULT OF FREEDOM OF CHOICE: Pro: 3:12 The Lord disciplines those He loves

5.  TO PERFECT OUR FAITH: Ps. 119:50 My comfort in my suffering is this, that Your promise preserves my life

6.  TO MAKE US LIKE HIM: Philippians 3:10 I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings

7.  TO COMFORT OTHERS: 2CO 1:4 Who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

8-9. TO BRING OTHERS TO FAITH: EZE 30:8 Then they will know that I am the Lord

10.  TO CONTRAST THIS LIFE TO ETERNITY: Rom 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

11.  AS A SIGN OF THE END TIMES: Rev. 21:7 He who overcomes shall inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.

12.  TO BRING ABOUT GOD’S PLAN: Proverbs 16: 9 The mind of man plans his way but the Lord directs his steps

13. FAITH, TURST, JOY: Psalm 118:14 The Lord is my strength and song.  And He has become my salvation
